The F5 Certified Technology Specialist – BIG-IP LTM (301a) exam validates expert-level competency in architecting, configuring, deploying, and optimizing F5 BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager (LTM) solutions in complex application delivery networks. This is the first of two specialist exams (301a and 301b) required to earn the full F5 Certified Technology Specialist, BIG-IP LTM credential. Candidates must first hold the F5 Certified Administrator BIG-IP (201) or demonstrate equivalent hands-on experience. The 301a focuses on initial design and deployment, while the 301b (Maintain and Troubleshoot) covers operations and advanced troubleshooting. Together, these form the specialist-level pathway for load-balancing architects and application delivery engineers.
